A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken breasts topped with crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and gooey cheese, drizzled with honey mustard dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup honey mustard dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while you gather your ingredients.
  2. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a fragrant spice mixture.
  3. Rub the spice mixture generously over the chicken breasts, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  4. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy, then remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté the sliced mushrooms in the residual bacon drippings until tender and aromatic.
  6. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish, layering on the crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and both kinds of cheese.
  7. Drizzle the honey mustard dressing generously over the top of the chicken and cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of even thickness for consistent cooking. Substitute mushrooms with other veggies like spinach or bell peppers.
