A magical dish featuring perfectly cooked salmon fillets coated in a flavorful spice mix that creates a delicious charred crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the spice medley in a small bowl: combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture generously over the salmon fillets to create a flavorful crust.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Flip the fillets gently and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for a bright flavor enhancement.

Notes

For added brightness, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon before serving. Pair with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
