A delightful dish combining crispy shrimp, crunchy walnuts, and a creamy sauce, inspired by Chinese-American cuisine.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cornstarch for frying
  • Oil for frying
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the walnuts in a saucepan of water for just 1 minute, then drain and cool.
  2. Fry the drained walnuts in a hot pan with oil until golden and fragrant.
  3. Mix together mayonnaise, sweetened condensed milk, and honey until smooth and creamy.
  4. Coat the shrimp in cornstarch for an even layer.
  5. Fry the shrimp in the same pan until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Combine the crispy shrimp with the creamy sauce and toss in the fried walnuts, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, ensure that the sauces are gluten-free. This dish can also be baked instead of fried.
